How does the council commission adult social care services?



     Our priorities in proposing the budget for 2014/15  but carer not mentioned

The services that the council is looking to recommission are 
  1. Day opportunities (activities and support services that people can use their personal budgets to purchase)
  2. Community equipment service (provision of aids and equipment to help people to stay in their home)
  3. Adult placement scheme (a Care Quality Commission registered scheme that involves placing adults with critical and substantial needs with families in their homes)
  4. Norfolk House sheltered accommodation (very sheltered accommodation scheme based in Leominster)
  5. Reablement (temporary support to help people regain their independence following illness, injury or trauma)
  6. Home and Community Support (personal care delivered in your own home)
  7. Sensory impairment (provides assessment and support for people with sensory impairment throughout Herefordshire)
