 1   From advert for Group Coordinator - Meeting Centre (Droitwich)

  1. Set up, promote, establish, organise and facilitate meaningful activities which offer individual-orientated possibilities

  2. Co-operate in the creation of a stimulating, cosy and safe atmosphere to stimulate members to engage in recreational and social activities

  3. Check the development of participants with regard to the goals formulated in the activity plan and report to the meeting Centre Manager

  4. Ensure that the group is appropriately organised and arrangements communicated with attendees, staff, volunteers and facilitators and that the relevant health & safety checks and risk assessments have been completed.

  8. The website author's experience at the Leominster DMC leads him to conclude that this JD is for the staff member on the right of the header graphic known as the Activities Manager.

  9. The JD runs to three pages of pretty high-spec duties etc on top of probably two pages of criteria etc in the advert.  Any in-depth reader might chuckle to think that the latter includes "Assist in household tasks e.g. making tea and washing dishes" directly under "Check the development of participants with regard to the goals formulated in the activity plan and report to the meeting Centre Manager."

  10. What does it matter within a matters page?  There is an informal way of operation at the DMC as one might expect.


2   Meeting - Leominster - 13 Oct 2016

  1. There was considerable concern, however, over what will happen in February when the evaluation process ends.

  2. Not discussed at the meeting.   Arising from 1.11 - Fixed Term until end of September 2016 extension subject to funding 

  3. At least one member of staff had not been notified about the immediate future and had to wait for the meeting in order to find out.
